Product Packaging

The “Packaging” section allows for one to many packaging configurations per product formulation. Nested packaging can be defined up to four levels and can be enabled by checking the appropriate number of “Intermediate Packaging” check box.   New packaging configurations can be defined by clicking the “New” button. The innermost packaging (Level 1) includes a Combination Product Type designation drop down menu. This field is set to “Type 0: Not a Combination Product” by default. The Marketing Status, Marketing Start Date, and Marketing End Date can be set at the Packaging Level for each individual NDC. When not manually populated, the Marketing Status, Marketing Start Date, and Marketing End Date are set in the generated .xml file to match the Marketing Status, Marketing Start Date, and Marketing End Date that is set at the Manufactured Product Level.
