The “Groups” tab contains information about all the groups that are defined in the system. Clicking on a row in the table, will populate the fields for editing. New groups can also be created by clicking on the New button. It is here that the company administrator defines the privileges allowed for each functional area. Checking the Company Admin flag will give all users that are assigned to this group the privilege to create and maintain users and give them access to functional areas. Checking the Active flag will allow this group to be assigned to users on the Users tab. For each functional area listed in the grid, the company administrator can decide the access level:
- Edit – allows users assigned to this group to create and modify
- View – allows users assigned to this group to view but not create or modify
- No Access – users assigned to this group will have no access to the functional area
