Answer:
The first thing you want to do is select a template inside the Content Editor under your product:
Select the template applicable to your product. Once you select the template, you will see some preset sections displayed in a tree to the left:
From here you can pick the appropriate section and copy paste the text from the PDF into the Content Editor. To copy paste you have to hit CTRL + V as right click, and paste will not work in the Content Editor.
If you receive the pop up below regarding the clipboard, select Allow Access.
If there is a section, you do not need you can do one of two things:
- Simply select “Delete Selection”
- Or change the LOINC from the pull-down menu to the appropriate LOINC and overwrite the section with one that you need. Just remember to rename the title to the correct one if necessary.
Deleting a Section
Changing the LOINC and Title
Sometimes text that is copied and pasted from a PDF has hidden xml attached to it which can cause your text to show up incorrectly. A good way to keep hidden xml from attaching to your submission file is to first paste the text from the PDF into Notepad. This clears all styling and xml attached. You can then copy and paste your text from Notepad into the Content Editor. Just ensure you transfer any styles such as bold, italics, sub and super scripts.
