Version Number Error

“Value of version number must be greater than the value of any previously submitted version for the same SetID”

Because our application automatically updates the version number, this error is typically from users uploading a previously submitted XML and not selecting “SAME PRODUCT” when given the choice. Select “SAME PRODUCT” instead of “DIFFERENT PRODUCT” to ensure that the SetID and version numbers will be correct.

If needed, we can manually change the version number for you. Just remember that you must submit a version number higher than the one previously submitted to the FDA or you will receive an error.

Different product is used when you are importing an XML created by another manufacturer and is typically used for re-labeler and re-packer clients.

Same product is used when you are importing an XML created by your company that was previously electronically listed. Sometimes this happens to clients who previously submitted products using X-Forms or other SPL vendors.
